Associate Creative is a Latina owned design firm that works with associations, non-profits and mission-driven organizations. We collaborate one-on-one with in-house marketing, editorial and creative teams to design materials that help reach their members to increase and retain member engagement, boost event attendance, increase partnership commitments and advocate for their industry. We also collaborate with communication agencies and consultants providing creative services to their clients. As a minority owned business, we care about being inclusive, representing diversity and being socially responsible.
Andrea Ortiz Sosa is a graphic designer and an illustrator. She is a graduate of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán.
She has worked with cultural management organizations, the public sector, higher education institutions and small businesses. She managed the Department of Communication of the Faculty of Architecture of the Universidad Autónoma de Yucatán for 6 years.
As an illustrator, she is passionate about female empowerment, gender diversity, and self-love. Much of her illustration work focuses of providing visibility to the Feminist struggle and that of the LGBT+ Community.

She currently works as a Graphic Designer for Shurtape Technologies, an industry-leading manufacturer and marketer of recognizable brand names such as Duck®, FrogTape®, Painter’s Mate®, Shurtape®, T-REX®, and Kip®.

Artists Statement: Using both digital & mixed media, I produce work that relies on graphic symbols copied & overlaid multiple times. Crafting a filter to investigate the nuance of culture, history, gender, identity, & art. I manipulate multiple iterations into a larger whole in a meditative process that allows me to ruminate on each idea I am inspired to explore.
