The Hispanic Business Center (HBC) is a Small Business Development Center (SBDC) providing free, confidential consulting to pre-venture, startups and small businesses. We are a public/private partnership supported in part by the U.S. Small Business Administration, Ohio Development Services Agency, The Northeast Ohio Hispanic Center for Economic Development and the City of Cleveland. Additional resources are made available through our partnerships.


HFLA of Northeast Ohio provides interest-free loans to address the financial challenges of residents of Northeast Ohio who lack access to traditional lending sources.

Ohio Aerospace Institute

The Ohio Aerospace Institute (OAI) is a non-profit organization that enhances the aerospace competitiveness of its corporate, federal agency, non-profit and university members through research and technology development, workforce preparedness and engagement with networks for innovation

Minority Business Assistance Centers (MBAC)

MBAC identifies emerging minority-owned businesses and cultivate their growth and sustainability. Professional MBAC staff work with owners of existing businesses, start-ups, certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), certified Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity (EDGE) and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.


As a nonprofit organization, Plexus serves the LGBTA business community and advocates workplace equality issues in Northeast Ohio. Plexus is a strategic partner in the economic development of Northeast Ohio and serves as a point of connection for corporations, supporters, LGBT businesses and professionals.


ECDI, a statewide SBA lender, started in Columbus in 2004 before expanding to Cleveland in July 2012, Akron in November 2014 and Cincinnati in January 2018. ECDI also has Field Offices in Toledo and Canton. For 15 years ECDI has been providing small business loans, ranging from $500-$350,000, to help low-income, low-wealth, and other disadvantaged people and communities join the economic mainstream.

City of Cleveland

CCDC is committed to improving the quality of life in the City of Cleveland, enhancing the lives of our citizens, strengthening our neighborhoods, creating job opportunities and encouraging investment by assisting businesses expanding within or locating to the City of Cleveland, by providing financing, workforce solutions, and technical assistance.


PTACs are the bridge between buyer and supplier, bringing to bear their knowledge of both government contracting and the capabilities of contractors to maximize fast, reliable service to our government with better quality and at lower costs.

Cleveland Neighborhood Progress

Cleveland Neighborhood Progress is a local community development funding intermediary with thirty years of experience investing in community revitalization work in Greater Cleveland.

Access Tech

Access Tech is a technology-centered education training initiative powered by JumpStart with funding from Verizon. Presented in partnership with local community organizations, Access Tech programs are offered at no cost to participants and provide access to the training and technology needed to build new skills and further employment opportunities for job seekers, career builders, entrepreneurs and small business owners in the city of Cleveland.
