The Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council (OMSDC) is an affiliate of the National Minority Supplier Development Council (NMSDC). Minority Business Assistance Centers (MBAC) identifies emerging minority-owned businesses and cultivate their growth and sustainability. Professional MBAC staff work with owners of existing businesses, start-ups, certified Minority Business Enterprises (MBEs), certified Encouraging Diversity Growth and Equity (EDGE) and socially and economically disadvantaged businesses.

As a nonprofit organization, Plexus serves the LGBTA business community and advocates workplace equality issues in Northeast Ohio. Economic & Community Development Institute (ECDI), a statewide SBA lender, started in Columbus in 2004 before expanding to Cleveland in July 2012, Akron in November 2014 and Cincinnati in January 2018.
